The Expanded Multiple Roles Of A Nurse

The Expanded Multiple Roles Of A Nurse

[I tried to have a brief relevant-seeking caption for these pics but ended up to a lengthy bloggy post.] This pandemic has stretched the capacity of healthcare workers and so as the leaders. The in-betweens in this two photographs do not show the consistent challenge of ensuring calm and organization while in a chaotic health crisis. You prioritize your team over your wildly growing hair, you adjust your schedule while you still can’t find the time to refund you covid-cancelled flights, you make yourself available to listen but you can’t even listen to yourself when it’s telling you it’s time to...

Robotic

Robotic

When life revolves around a certain routine, more likely than not, it becomes monotonous. How do we keep the fire burning when the day seems to revolve in what seem to be repetitive? Ever felt like a robot programmed to do a certain task over and over again? Losing human connection was amplified by this pandemic. Even myself, who works in the healthcare realized that this is something we are unfortunately losing while implementing a scientifically based protocols, we tend to focus on results while not grasping the meaningful process. We say we care but we spend more time documenting...

Greener

Greener

The grass is always greener… when you water it. Focus on nurturing your resources and make it flourish rather than wasting your energy envying how others backyard is greener than yours. Life is too short to watch how other people do it suspiciously. Either you can ask them nicely on how they do it or ask someone who is an expert in that field. Invest your time and energy to grow, use it wisely. To be envious and be inspired are two different things, always choose the latter.

Guarded

Guarded

To have each own’s reservation is a choice as a grown person. Gone are the days when the internet is a healthy outlet to dispatch your emotional baggage through blogspot, tumblr and wordpress and so on. Even facebook has its own blog feature before. Today’s current virtual world is a circus. I am cautious of what I say or write/post not because I am fearful to be judged but because being an ignorant internet user is now very rampant and if being a troll is a disease, we have been in a pandemic for the longest time now and we...

Master

Master

They say “Jack of all trades, master of none, I look at it as “Jack of all trades, slave to no one”. Life is too short to stop yourself from doing things that you know will make you happy, help you grow and learn even your capabilities you never thought you had. It’s true that to be successful, you have to focus. But success is subjective, my definition to it may differ from yours. There are people in this world finds pleasure in multi-tasking, they don’t describe their day busy but rather productive. There’s a lot of things I want...

STOP

STOP

Your feeling of frustration when the world feels as if it stopped is valid. It’s okay to feel this way. We are facing a tough and an uncertain time. But while you are having this type of emotion, I encourage you to consider those who needs to continue and keep going while yours was ordered to stop. Those who are left with a predicament to keep themselves safe or continue saving life as it was the most essential part of what they signed up for.

SunXiety

SunXiety

It’s the Anxiety you feel on a Sunday as if it is a day prior to an impending doom – the following day that you have to go back to work. Not that I dread coming to work but when I feel that the weekend is over and I have to dedicate another week to serve gives me Sunxiety – it gives me an irrational feeling of not being adequate to do the job or not well-prepared for some things that could possibly go wrong. The dog-walking session helps me; it’s some sort of a therapy. It gives me a...

Buddy

Buddy

No matter what breed or behavior your dog has, consider yourself lucky. Most of the time, it is better to deal with them when you realized how hard it is dealing with most of the human beings who act worst than an animal. This is my usual answer to the question why I love animals (dogs and cats), as mean as it may seem, I get easily tired of dealing with people who. I get impatient. I’d rather potty train a dog than train a human being to be a human being.

It looks like…

It looks like…

It has been a month since I am back to working out – new routines caused by the quarantine? Morning workout to start the day gives me more energy. Burning calories give my body more fire for the day. It gives me happy hormones and makes me feel lighter for the rest of the day. Fortunately a year ago, I have enrolled myself into a crossfit/HIIT/bootcamp gym in which I have learned a lot and it helped me go back to track of being active. I wanted to become more agile, like when I used to 20years ago. LOL. I...
